Online Fundraising Is as Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Set Your Fundraising Goal & Personalize Your Fundraising Web page!
Set a high personal fundraising goal - make it a challenge! To set or update your goal, log in to your Fundraising HQ. Then click on “Change My Goal” in the section where
it says “Fundraising Statistics.” It will open a new window where you can scroll down to where you can edit your goal. Click on “Update” to save all updated
information.
Make sure your Personal Fundraising Web page is a reflection of you and your dedication to the fight against HIV/AIDS. To edit your Web page, click on the “My Webpage” tab at the top of the screen. Edit the text, upload one or two of your favorite pictures, and click on “Update” to save all updated information.
2. Send Out Fundraising E-mails
To send out e-mails, log in to your Fundraising Headquarters. Then click on the “Email” tab at the top of the screen. To import your address book, click on
“Address Book Import” in the blue toolbar underneath the “Email” tab and follow directions. Use the already-saved donor e-mail template or, write your own.
Then click on “Send email” at the bottom of the page.
3. Ask Everyone You Know to Sponsor You
Promote your Fundraising Web page in any way possible – in your e-mail auto
signature, on your Facebook, MySpace or other social networking site, and by word-of-mouth.
You can also ask people to sponsor you by visiting www.aidswalk.net/newyork, clicking on “Sponsor a Walker,” and typing in your first and last name to visit your Personal Fundraising Web page and make an online credit card donation.
