AIDS WALK LOS ANGELES
We need 2,300 volunteers on Sunday, October 13 to ensure a safe and fun day for all at AIDS Walk Los Angeles! We have opportunities for everyone, even groups: you can greet participants, total donations, cheer on walkers, and so much more! AIDS WALK SHIFT: 6:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, October 12 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
OR Tuesday, October 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Be the first face participants see the morning of AIDS Walk Los Angeles! Sign-In Volunteers check in walkers and collect the funds they have raised. You must be friendly, outgoing, detail-oriented, have a valid photo ID and must be at least 16 years old. Click Here to be a Sign-In Volunteer!
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 6:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Monitor Volunteers are in the center of the action! Monitors cheer on walkers, direct the flow of participant traffic and help keep walkers safe. They must be outgoing, energetic, and skilled communicators in order to guide the walkers safely. Monitor Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Click Here to be a Monitor Volunteer!
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 7 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, October 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Help direct 30,000 AIDS Walk participants through West Hollywood! As a member of this elite group of volunteers, you will help walkers turn in funds, find their team meeting stations, and locate other areas around the AIDS Walk venue. You will be the AIDS Walk expert that our walkers will seek out on the morning of the event! Click Here to be an Information Army Volunteer!
AIDS WALK SHIFT: 6:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
MANDATORY ORIENTATION: Saturday, October 12 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Volunteer in the heart of the action, where hundreds of teams meet on AIDS Walk day. A team is any group of two or more walkers that raise money and walk together at AIDS Walk Los Angeles. In the Teams Meeting Area, volunteers assist with setting up Meeting Stations and guiding walkers to their designated meeting spots, where they gear up for the walk and their show team spirit! We encourage everyone who participates in AIDS Walk Los Angeles to raise funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Therefore, we credit all of our volunteers with walking 10 kilometers. To assist you with your fundraising efforts, we will create a personal fundraising Web page just for you when you register as a 2013 AIDS Walk Volunteer. You can utilize your personal Web page to send fundraising e-mails to friends and family, track your donations, and get AIDS Walk volunteer information.
