JOBS AND INTERNSHIPS

MZA Events is currently accepting applications for the position of Executive Assistant to President & CEO.

AIDS Walk Los Angeles is seeking motivated, enthusiastic individuals to be a part of our production team. As Southern California’s largest AIDS fundraising event, AIDS Walk Los Angeles has a variety of unique internship opportunities that will provide outstanding professional experience in an energetic atmosphere. AIDS Walk Los Angeles interns will work closely with the event staff, a dynamic team with more than 100 years of combined event planning and community organizing experience. Under their guidance, interns will participate in the day to day operations of the event, learn effective methods of public outreach and advocacy, and make valuable professional contacts. Interns will be asked to take leadership roles in all facets of their duties, and will be encouraged to add their own voice to the most compelling public response to the AIDS epidemic in Southern California.

Internship candidates must possess strong writing and phone skills; must be self motivated with a positive attitude, well organized, and a team player. Computer knowledge is required, including but not limited to: Internet research, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

Interns will work from the AIDS Walk Office located at 3550 Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown (easily accessible via bus and subway). Starting date and hours are flexible; internships may include some evening and weekend work. AIDS Walk Los Angeles requires a minimum commitment of 15 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between 9:00am and 9:00pm. Internships typically begin in late-July/early-August and end after the Walk in late-October. Access to a vehicle is preferred, but not required. Internships are not paid, but may be eligible for college credit.
